Question :)

So I've entered my son in a contest and recently found out he is competing against the daughter of the top blogger in the country I live in. Is it really worth continuing when this blogger has over 19,000 followers? No to mention when this competition started she was the top blogger of the country and had over 50,000 followers. What do you all think?

it might be kinda hard to participate. Are there secondary prizes as well? I have been in a contest where I went up against a youtuber that had a ton of fans as well. They won but I was able to get a secondary prize.

Unfortunately there is no prize for second place. This is the first round of the contest, they choose a winner from each county and the blogger's daughter happens to live in the same county as I do. Her daughter has been in first place for a while and no one has ever past her so far not even once. My husband and I were working real hard to move our son up from number 272 to currently #19. we did that in a week, but today I happened to find out who we were competing against and I got real bummed to find out that our hard work is most likely not going to help. The only shot we have perhaps is if we are one of the five wild cards the judges choose. I am still trying, but can't say I am too optimistic anymore.

Yea you might want to just continue to get votes but not try to hard. Just try to make the entry very nice and hopefully the judges would pick it

We worked too hard to stop so we have continued. we are currently #4, but I don't think we will get much further than that unfortunately.
