One Ultimate Outsider from each Backwoods location will receive:
– A $1,000 prize package of gear and apparel
– Each Ultimate Outsider will be featured in the 2012 spring edition of the Pinecone Press and on backwoods.com
The nine Ultimate Outsiders chosen will then compete to win the Grand Prize: A Backwoods Adventures 21 Day Trek in Nepal with world-class alpinist Ueli Steck!
The Backwoods mission is to inspire people to lead active, adventurous lives. The Ultimate Backwoods Outsider will be the person who lives this mission!
The winner will be chosen on June 1, 2012 based on the Outsiders engagement with their local Backwoods store, their social media contributions, gear reviews, creative blog entries, and their general enthusiasm for the outdoors!
Contest Instructions

2. Complete entry form.
– Upload up to 8 photos and explain how this photo depicts you as the one deserving of the Ultimate Outsider title.
– If you’d like to add a link to a video along with your photo, please add the URL in the image description box provided.
3. Upload your entry form and share on your wall to tell all your friends!
Prize Eligibility
Only persons residing in Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, Oklahoma and Texas who are at least 18 years of age can enter.
