Contest Instructions
To enter, “Like” the Virginia Energy Sense Facebook page and check the box to take the 10% pledge to reduce your energy use on the entry form. Then, in 300 words or less, tell us why saving energy is important to you and your ideas or vision to help your school decrease its energy consumption.
In other words, how can you make saving energy relevant to your campus?
Our panel of 5 judges will choose the winners for the three Grand Prizes. We’ll be judging answers based on originality, creativity and the impact your idea can have in helping Virginia reduce its energy use.
The Virginia school with the most participation will be publicly recognized as the winner. The three grand prize winners will each receive a $250.00 Amex gift card. We will also award 10 Student’s Choice awards to the student’s whose submissions receive the most votes. Each Student’s Choice winner will receive a $25.00 gift card from a major online retailer.
Only persons 18 years or older, and actively enrolled in or employed by a Virginia college or university are eligible to enter.*
Prize Eligibility
Only persons residing in United States who are at least 18 years of age can enter.
