Our Ocean Exposures Photo Contest is back! There are two first place prizes: one Nikon Coolpix L24 camera, retail value $110, and two second place prizes: two LOS Seahugger T-shirts, retail value $25 each.
Living Oceans Society is always looking for great ocean photos so we can show the beauty of the ocean through your eyes! You'll see past Ocean Exposures contest photos on our website, newsletters and print publications.
You don’t need to be a professional photographer to enter the contest. Just take your camera with you on your summer adventures and send us interesting pictures connected to the ocean.
This year we have two categories.
Ocean Ecosystems
Show the diversity of life forms in the ocean and including coastlines, creatures and plants above and below the water, aerial shots and more!

How to Enter
Fill in the form below and attach your photos or if you prefer you can email your photos to photos@livingoceans.ca -- you can also send us an email at that address if you have any questions about the contest. Please include your full name and contact information as well as a caption for the photo and the location where it was taken.
Entries can be submitted from June 23, 2011 to September 30, 2011. There is no limit to the number of entries that may be submitted. The winner will be announced on October 18, 2011. Entries must be recent (June 1, 2009 onward) and must be located within North America's Pacific Ocean, which includes the coastline and open ocean from Southern Mexico to Alaska.
To enter, contestants must submit one or more photos to the one of the two categories provided. Judges will choose one contest winner from each category for first and second place. Photographs will be judged on exposure, composition, uniqueness, creativity, technical proficiency and relevance to chosen theme. There is no limit to the number of entries that may be submitted.
* Contest is open to residents of Canada (excluding Quebec) only. If you would like to share your photos with us, but are not eligible, please submit them HERE.

- tourism such as kayaking, whale watching, etc.
