Using lyrical titles that evoke stories of romance, nature, chemistry and courage, Ineke fragrances are rooted
in her perfumery education and apprenticeship in France. The scents in the alphabetical collection are:
After My Own Heart – A romantic reflection on finding yourself in a place that feels just right. This scent is inspired by the romantic and wistful lilac flower, which to Ineke is the forgotten flower of perfumery.
Balmy Days & Sundays – A perfume about perfect moments on a relaxing Sunday; lying in the grass, breathing the smells of sweet scented flowers and fragrant leaves.
Chemical Bonding – Playfully juxtaposing Chemistry 101 principles with human attraction, this scent combines a bright citrus opening with a powdery soft base, resulting in a flirtatious alchemy.
Derring-Do – A darkly romantic fragrance for men evoking spring rain, this is an ode to the literary rogue. Derring-Do is the Old English term for daring, with its requisite chivalry.
Evening Edged in Gold – Features the sensual warmth and opulence of night-scented flowers. A fragrance for sparkling soirées that is perfect in any season.
Field Notes from Paris – Capturing the ambience of lingering at a Parisian café, this scent combines the warmth of tobacco flower and leaf with vintage perfumery notes of coriander seed, patchouli and tonka bean.
Gilded Lily – “Shakespeare meets manga” in this fruity chypre that highlights the goldband lily of Japan (yama yuri).
Ineke has also designed a limited edition collection available exclusively at Anthropologie called “Floral Curiosities” inspired by flowers in Ineke’s garden. This line includes:
Angel’s Trumpet (Brugmansia) Refreshing and Deep
Angel’s Trumpet opens with refreshing notes of honeydew melon, Seville orange and leafy greens. The fragrance is then warmed by cinnamon leaf and allspice and supported by Virginia cedar and white musk.
Briar Rose (Rosa rubiginosa) Fruity and Powdery
Dark accents inspired by twisted thorns characterize Briar Rose. Black raspberry, bitter almond, exotic spices, black violet, patchouli and cacao absolute come together to form a unique fragrance.
Poet’s Jasmine (Jasminum officinale) Citrus and Herbal
A fragrance inspired by Poet’s Jasmine tea, replete with slices of citrus fruit. Added points of interest include star anise, rosemary, absinthe, frankincense, cardamom, hinoki wood and guaiac wood.
Scarlet Larkspur (Delphinium cardinale) Floral Oriental
A bright fruity opening consisting of blood orange, red currant and morello cherry, that then deepens with notes of claret wine, nutmeg, saffron, amyris wood, tonka bean and bourbon vanilla.
