My Vote Exchange Experience Thus Far

Well, it's now been 5 days since I've joined. During the first day and following morning, I visited about 15 people's topics and voted for them. I asked for a vote back. I received 5 votes since I joined this site, and two of them were in response to my own thread, which means that only 3 (at the very most, considering the possibility of the voter coming from elsewhere) of the people I voted for bothered to return the favor.

I thought the rules were that it had to be within a couple of days or something.

At this point I wish I could take back the votes.

The site I'm on says that everybody who gets at least 30 votes will get a t-shirt. I'm not even gonna get that... and I can forget about first place. I'd have to double my votes just to get into the rankings at 6th place (I currently have 23, and 6th place has 44).

I'm sorry to sound like such a whiner, but I'm just disappointed and wanted to rant about it. I was really, really hoping this forum would be reliable.

the thing is it is reliable you just ned to know how to work it. I have received over 100 votes from this forum just by itself. You just need to work at it. As I read it you received about 10 votes off this site. Read our how to get the best return on yoru vote in the announcement section on how to get the best return possible. We patroll this place like mad every day. to weed out any non voters. we hope to upgrade in the future but for now this system is working just fine (just takes more work on the part of admins and mods) and a few of us have actually made friends here. I did find 2 non voters and they received there punishment. but the best return on yoru votes is a guide to this forum and is the best way to review who you are voteing for and to make sure you get yoru vote back.

Well... you might just have me sold on giving it another try... but for the record, I only received 5 votes since I joined this community, not 10... and 2 of those were as a response to my own thread, which means that only 3 of them could possibly have been in return for all the votes I gave to other people. Get it?

Anyway... my particular contest ends at the end of this month, so there's only a week left. If I get 7 more votes, I can at least get a t-shirt... but I wonder if I could actually manage to get enough votes to get back into the rankings...

Well I went back and voted for several more people, but only got 1.. maybe 2 votes returned.

Although it wasn't until now I read the guide that mentioned targeting people with higher post counts. I will try that next.

There's no way I'll win the contest I'm in, though, because the other people are cheating.
