This competition is all about tapping into your artistic ingenuity to promote positive messages about mental health. Must Haves
Not to cramp your artistic style, but there are a few guidelines to follow.
Make sure your film has the following:
- Your video should be between 30 seconds to 90 seconds in length.
- A positive mental health message
- Your video should creatively incorporate the words Reach Out, or, the ReachOut brand.
- Inspire viewers to help themselves, and their peers during tough times.
- We welcome all kinds of videos. We ask that you use original content or content that you have permission to use.
- A focus on people aged 13-24, and all project leads must be aged 13-24.
- Signed release forms from all persons or organizations necessary for the use of their identifications or images in your Submission.
- If you chose to use music, use original music, license-free music, or music for which you have secured all necessary rights and releases.
- We DO NOT want details that might be ‘triggering’ for others (provide ideas for self harm and the suggestion that self harm is acceptable), i.e. – depictions or descriptions that romanticize suicide, self harm, weight loss, eating disorders, etc… We’re not saying these aren’t valid issues – far from it. All we’re saying is that if these topics are in your film, then your character or subject needs to dwell on the positive side of things – meaning how your character or subject got through the tough time, and what they learned they could do to cope.Prize Eligibility
