A $75 award will be given to the most popular photograph (i.e. the image with the most online “votes”)
2nd Prize
A $75 award will be given to the top ranked photo. This will be voted on by a team of professional photographer judges.
3rd Prize
A $75 award will be given to the second ranked photo. This will be voted on by a team of professional photographer judges.
4th Prize
A $75 award will be given to the third ranked photo. This will be voted on by a team of professional photographer judges.
Contest Instructions
Entries for this photo competition are free of charge, and all AEESP 2011 attendees or persons whose name are in the conference proceedings (on technical presentations, posters, workshops) are encouraged to apply. The deadline for entries is July 1, 2011.
Photos should fit within the theme of the conference:
Global Sustainability: Implications for Research, Education and Practice.
The focus on global sustainability in this year’s conference is divided into 7 tracks that may assist you in your choice for submission. These tracks are not intended to limit you, but rather to broaden your understanding of the current theme and focus your selection:
#1. Advances that deal with water depletion and degradation
#2. Advances that assess and improve air quality and waste management
#3. Infrastructure that serves an expanding and urbanizing population
#4. Vulnerability and adaptation to climate change
#5. Global issues in Environmental Engineering
#6. Energy as a cross‐cutting theme
#7. Integration of sustainability into practice
The photos can be from your education, research or practice and will be displayed throughout various locations during the conference.
You must also email a 4 × 6 300 dpi image to photos@aeesp2011.com.
Prize Eligibility
Only persons who are at least 17 years of age can enter.
