Digi’s Workshop – Photo Contest!
To celebrate the launch of summer, I am pleased to announce our next photo contest! Each month I give you a few new photo tips, so now it’s time for you to show me what you have learned! To enter the contest, go to https://www.facebook.com/lifepicsDigiPixels, click the “contest” button on the left side of the page, and submit one photo you took that used one of my tips, either as inspiration or for technique in getting the shot.
As part of the submission process, please describe how you took this photo and which tip helped you to do so (include a link back to the tip if possible). To refresh your memory, review my photo tips archive.
The public voting period starts June 22, 2011 and ends July 04, 2011, but you can submit your photo now. Then, share my Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/lifepicsDigiPixels) with all of your friends, and ask them to “like” my page to be able to vote for your photo during the public voting period. Each fan is allowed one vote.
After the public voting period has ended, I will pick one grand prize winner from the photos with the most votes, plus several runners up. Winners will be announced on July 7th on the contest page and a few days later in an email. The grand prize for this contest is a lovely 16×24 gallery wrapped canvas of the winning photo. The first place winner and 5 runners up will all be noted on my Facebook page, Twitter account, and of course, in an upcoming Digital Photography 101 email.
