Basic info on what makes a voting contest.
A Voting Contest means that in order to have a winner, voting needs to take place. Usually the person with the most votes will be chosen as a winner. A voting contest, to be posted in this section, must have some type of voting involved in it. Judging can take place before or after voting and it is still considered a "voting contest".
For the subject line, try to use something short, if it's a well known company/brand, just say their name and contest. Example: "Kellogs Contest", if it's a photo or story contest, just add that into it to help with the description.
Try to put the location restriction in the title as well. Example *USA Only*, *Canada and UK Only*. Use the asterisks for this portion. And last, but not least, when the entry period ends. The Promotion period doesn't matter usually, just make sure, because that might mean the entire time and entry submissions might have ended by that time.
Now for the body of the post. Include the link, you can usually copy and paste any info you find, always check the Official Rules, just to make sure it's right though. The main things to post are the link, area restrictions again, age limit, the prize, what the contest is about/contest instructions. If the instructions are long, just do a quick summary.
You can use this guide for your posts if you want to make it easier to organize and get all the information. You may include more info if you want.
