Contest Instructions
Please read ALL of the INSTRUCTIONS carefully BEFORE participating!!
Submissions, which will not correspond to our requirements stated here – in the Instructions and in the Official Rules: will be DISQUALIFIED! Your have to complete an essay, which corresponds to the following requirements:
- the story HAS to be related to freelance writing. It has to be either from your freelance writing experience, from freelance writing experiences of your friends or relatives. In case, if it’s a fictional story, we want you to make sure, that it’s believable and authentic. As if you were telling something, that happened with you in real life.
- another very important factor: it has to be FUNNY – not just for you, try showing it to other people, see if they’ll like it before submitting. It doesn’t have to be something out of this world hilarious, at least something that will put a smile on people’s faces:)
- You still have to remember that it’s a freelance writing contest: the grammar, plagiarism and other writing parameters will be reviewed prior to accepting your paper
- Word count: 300-550 words (+/- 25)
- The essay has to have a catchy title: it will play a role in our judging decision. Consider your writing as a pitch for a comedy book, which you are trying to sell to a publisher.
- The story has to be clean of any dirty language, sexual references, etc.
- You have to be at least 18 years old to participate in the contest.
Please note:
We have a right to decline your work, submitted for the contest WITHOUT any explanation and will not be held responsible for our decision. You do have a right to request an explanation, but we have the right to refuse.
The previous contests received some negativity due to the fact that a lot of participants complained about cheaters. This time we might choose less finalists than there are prizes available. - We also might disqualify a finalist or a participant chosen as a winner, if we will have suspicions about his integrity and the quality of his votes (votes gained too fast, too many votes comparing to other participants). Cheaters are not welcomed by ResearchWritingCenter.com.
- By participating in the contest, you automatically agree that you will not argue with the RWC, in case if your work will be disqualified in such a manner and under such accusations.
Otherwise your account might be banned from our page.
